Help me as i m goin to buy PS3 ?

I dont know if you will see another price drop anytime soon. $299 will likely be the going rate for awhile on the 120 GB edition. The older 'Fat PS3's' have more features, but they also have drawbacks. The PS3 slim has no backward compatibility, meaning you will NOT be able to play PS2 games on it. Depending on the version of the 'Fat' console, some had this backward compatibility. On the bright side, the PS3 Slim has Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio support. The PS3 Slim also has quite a bit less energy consumption, so you will see a reduction in your energy bill if you are a heavy gamer. The PS3 Slim also does not allow the installation of 3rd party Operating Systems (e.g. Linux). The older 'Fat' models also had an additional USB port and memory card readers that the new 'Slim' addition lacks.
