Strep throat incubation period?

My friend just found out that his boyfriend has strep throat and my friend and I shared a water the other day (Friday). I'm wondering if I may have caught it? My throat hurts, and I've been really dizzy today. At first I thought it was sore because my boyfriend and I just got Rock Band and I was the singer last night, but now it's just getting worse, especially on one side. I tried looking at my throat, but I can't find a flashlight and my cell phone didn't illuminate it enough. My friend never caught it, but I know there can be carriers of strep. I also have a doctor's appointment tomorrow for something unrelated, but am planning on mentioning it to her.
