Cut from flip flops! help please. what do i do?

Well I was wearing flip flops about a week ago and I got a blister inbetween my toes. Then it popped, (i know, gross.) and now, it's a pretty deep cut, it isn't healing, and its all dry. my friends mom (whos a nurse.) said to put vasaline in the middle, or another type of moisturizer. i did that and then put a bandage all the way around, pulling ,my toes together so it can heal. well now it hurts, after like half an hour. its little sharp electric ind of pains. it didnt hurt before i put the stuff on. what should i do? keep it on?
