Me and my dress style?

well recently my dad bought me a pair off UGG Tasmans's (for men) which i really like and i live in new jersey. but my mom took the left foot of it without asking. when i asked her why she said because we live close to asbury and gay people dress with these . how can i convince her to let me wear my UGG's ?
