I had my rifle scope bore sighted. i shot a group. and i need to make adjustments.?

to move it up do I turn adjustment clockwise or c-cw. to move it to the left do i turn the adjustment clockwise or c-cw? this stupid manuel does'nt say and i can't make out the stamped adjustment knob. Please help me!
