One month of school=Repeat???? Australia?

Hi um i've been sick this year and have had about 3 to 4 weeks off and my sisters and mum told me that if you have more than a month off school you'll have to repeat!! Is that true??? Because i'm a really fast learner and i catch up quickly...i just don't want to repeat i'm from australia and in Tasmania....and in hugh school please help!!!
